Vancouver

We loved Vancouver. Long walks. Water view. Good food. A fancy hotel with an espresso machine, so I could make them to our tastes. And a very cool framed moss forest.

I will note that at this point, we entered luxury on a whole other level than we had known. Canadian Rail Prestige luxury. Bucket list luxury.

We took a private driving tour. What an experience and way to really see all of Vancouver on a rainy day. Unlike some countries I might name, Canada is, arguably, doing a lot of truth and reconciliation. History is hard when one thinks of all the pain inflicted on one group by another. But until that pain is looked at square in the eye, recognized and heard, however can the healing begin?
