This is Darwin’s View

This is “Darwin’s View”! From north of Mount Monadnock to Mount Monadnock herself and onward south to Massachusetts mountain range and then east to WaPack and NorthPac. Quite glorious in any season and on any given day—but fall, with its brilliant colors that tickle the eyes, is my favorite.

Unless it is winter, with the sparkles of snow and ice, cold air into the lungs reminding us we are alive.

And then of course spring, with the fabulous greens! Just like fall but, as opposed to the dying and hibernating, spring is sweeter and more precious, all those buds daring to unfurl themselves!

As to summer? Well! Proof that whatever we humans do, yet granite holds steady as it supports flora and fauna in their struggles to survive, adapt, live.
