Yesterday . . .

. . . we discovered two excellent recipes that one, use cucumbers and two, use tomatoes. If that’s not a find, I don’t know what is.

Smashed ginger and garlic added to thinly sliced red onion, rice vinegar and toasted sesame oil transform the cucumbers that we have been overwhelmed by into a treat for the taste buds.

Capers cooked in a fry pan. Olive oil. Tomatoes. Fresh basil. Yum, yum.

Meantime, Carl made some darn good deviled eggs with the black trumpets he foraged. It was the kind of bite the taste of which causes your eyes to roll about in your head with delight.

Thus I forgot to post yesterday. Rather, I knew the clock was ticking but . . . and then dinner guests arrived.

Most important of all, next week is the climate strike!

Please sign up and attend a rally near you. It might seem like nothing but people gathering together in numbers matters to politicians. (As does voting!!) This world wide strike is just that. It’s past time. Let’s not just talk about it. Let’s do something.

We’ll be at the Keene, NH rally.
